What can I eat that wont make me feel bloated???
Before I start, I'm going to begin with saying this website is amazing thank you!!!
I really need help on what I can actually eat that don't make me feel really bloated and horrible, it's my first time trying to get help and havn't a clue what foods are best that will easily digest, could you help please? Xx
It's great to hear that you are taking steps towards recovery - good for you... I promise that all the struggles in recovery are worth it a million times over!
I found it helpful to keep a food diary on my in my recovery... This way I could write down what I was eating to 1) Make sure I was in fact eating 3 meals and 3 snacks daily as per my structured eating plan and 2) So I could look back to see if there was a trend in bloating and the types of food I ate. This way I was able to pinpoint which foods made me more bloated than others... It's important to note that this could be different for everyone... But for me, milk definitely increased my bloating as well as if I ate too much fiber (it was too hard on my digestive system in the beginning) Apples, believe it or not, made my stomach feel pregnant!
So my best advice would be to keep a diary to see what foods might trigger bloating. Also, take probiotics to help restore your stomachs natural levels of good bacteria.
