Turning on the shower, and the sink, and possibly a radio - sign of bulimia

by Katsu Midori

Turning on the shower, and the sink, and possibly a radio when in the bathroom...

Not only those but anything that can possibly make noise. When I had bulimia I would try to make the bathroom as loud as possible. I made it so even I could hardly hear myself. Also if the running waters are on and the person comes out dry then there is a problem.

Yeah thats a good sign to look out for. I would go to my room to purge and I'd turn up my music loud enough so no one woukd hear me vomiting but not so loud that people would have to come to my room to tell me to turn it down.

Help!

I am writing this because I wanted to know if there's anything I can do to help my older sister who possibly has bulimia. I would always hear the water in the shower go on and I would know right away that my sister was purging. My sister had a really bad childhood where she would go to church and kids would call her fat in a joking matter but she took those words to heart. After some time has passed, she got her appendix removed. The doctor said that her appendix would have burst if she was late. It was very sad to see my sister in the hospital and very bad for me because I HATED the smell of hospitals. The stench of rubbing alcohol and to see patients being dragged by gurneys made my stomach churn. Anyways, it's been a long time since and that's when my sister showed some signs. Long showers which seemed like hours. I would always hear the toilet flushing and that seemed suspicious. Anyways, this was a really long comment, almost like a short-story but I just wanted to let these feelings out. Btw, my parents already know. :(
