Tips on making a meal plan in bulimia recovery
This is my first post, and I hope it's ok for me to be here. I don't technically have a diagnosis of bulimia, but I've been having a lot of trouble with bingeing and purging, especially over the past couple of weeks, and I really think now's the time to do something about it, before it gets worse.
I'm at the end of my second day, and I was hoping for some tips on coming up with viable meal plans for the coming days. I'm trying to work my way through Peter Cooper's CBT guide 'Overcoming Bulimia Nervosa and Binge Eating', and the first step is to try to stick to a sensible meal plan. But I'm struggling with deciding what will fill me up enough to keep me going, without making me feel guilty.
Does anyone have any advice about it? I'm trying to eat really nutritious stuff, but I'm conscious that I'll have to reintroduce junk food at some point - otherwise the first time I'm offered some birthday cake or something I'll be off. But it's tempting to have some sooner - do you think it's too early for that?
