Mirror, mirror, on the wall,
Hanging with a threat right down the hall.
Imperfection, blemish, and disdain,
With frustration pounding through your brain.
One small thing reflects and bounces back,
Negativity begins a powerful attack.
That one beginning imperfect part,
Sparked a fire from the start.
The harmful thoughts fly without remorse,
Scarring and scathing with terrible force.
What you give is what shall return,
So seize those thoughts that certainly burn,
And grasp your mirror in your hand.
Take control and take a stand.
Speak out loud that you are YOU,
With inner beauty that sparkles and shines right through,
Making your outer beauty even more splendid,
And now your negative thoughts have ended.
Your perfectly imperfect beauty is inside your mind,
Find it and embrace it, or remain so terribly blind.
