Lindsay Lohan bulimia and anorexia stories have been circulating since her massive weight loss in 2005...
For a long time the troubled actress denied that she had a problem... Which people with eating disorders so often do.
Eventually in 2006 Lindsay admitted to having battled with bulimia. In an interview with Vanity Fair magazine she said:
"I was sick, Everyone was scared. And I was scared too. I had people sit me down and say, 'You're going to die if you don't take care of yourself.' "
I admired Lindsay for admitting to having a problem... It's a tough thing to do... Which must be harder when you're in the public eye.
After that article came out in Vanity Fair it was talk of the town... everywhere. Lindsay Lohan, the teenage movie queen was bulimic...
or was she?
Less than a week later, Lindsay spoke out about the bulimia article... claiming her words were "misused and misconstructed," by Vanity Fair. She says that she is appalled by the way the article was done.
Lindsay now claims that she never had bulimia and that the article was all lies.
So what's the truth about lindsay lohan bulimia rumors?
To be honest... I have no idea. I mean, it's obvious she has suffered from an eating disorder of some sort... But unless she decides to share her story - we will never know.
I think it's important to remember that she is a real person and deserves respect. If she is suffering from bulimia - it must be extremely traumatic for her. She probably feels ashamed and disgusting.
All bulimics are the same... celebrity or not. All bulimics deserve love and support - and if Lindsay is bulimic... Then I hope she finds the support that she needs to recover.
