It's becomes so easy to hide things. Aside from how horrible it is do this to our bodies, the hiding, sneaking, dishonesty, becomes the next worst symptom. It hurts every part of your life, and most certainly your relationships. Then honesty can be a great relief and can really help in the recovery. What if I went out to eat with my friend/husband/partner/sister/mom/anyone with the expressed intent to order something that would normally trigger me to binge. I'd have to eat it with awareness, and enjoy every bite. Importantly, I'd have to notice the moment I get full and pack the rest to go. I think it's important to do exercises like that in order to create more instances of not purging, of normalcy. Of accepting and appreciating my meal and moving on.
