Bulimia in Older Women: Stories from those suffering and striving for recovery

Bulimia in older women is far more common than you would think... You might feel like you're the only person in your age group suffering from bulimia... But, I promise you this is not true...

I get hundreds of visitors to my site each day - and a large percentage of them are 40 or older.

Those who share their stories about bulimia in older women all have similar things to say... That they feel alone and ashamed for not having beaten this illness years ago.

But the truth is, there is absolutely no reason for you to feel ashamed. Would you judge somebody who hasn't got help for depression - just because they fall into the 'older' category? No ways! You're no different - and your age is no reason for you to be critical of yourself.

To help you feel less alone I've compiled some of the stories shared by the older visitors to my site...

It doesn't matter if you've been bulimic for 10, 20, 30, even 40 or more years... You can beat this! What works for women in their teens, twenties and thirties will work for women in their forties, fifties and older...

The only greater obstacle you have is that years of bulimia have probably reinforced your belief that you can't recover. Work on replacing this belief with a hope, desire and belief of recovery! This is the first step towards the beautiful bulimia free life that you deserve :)
