Bulimia Heart Attacks and Foods you can eat to prevent them...

Today I'm going to be talking about bulimia heart attacks and foods that you can eat to prevent them...

When I was suffering from bulimia I was obviously aware of the fact that what I was doing could cause my electrolyte levels to drop, and that that could result in a heart attack. Although I was aware of this fact, I pushed it way back to the back of my mind and tried not to think about it.

If you're in the same spot, I would really strongly suggest that you don't let the idea of a bulimia heart attack worry you and stress you out, but that you take actions and steps that will help you get the nutrients and get the electrolytes that you need. This will help to protect you from bulimia heart attacks...

Foods that are high in potassium, which is an electrolyte that bulimics are often dangerously low in...

Potassium rich foods are meats including red meat, fish and chicken. If you're not a big meat eater, and I personally don't like the taste of meat, then there are a lot of other options for high potassium foods...

Apricots are really good, and they can be dried or fresh. Canned apricots have significantly lower potassium, so if you can go for the fresh or dried, that would be best.

Avocado is also really good and really high in potassium. Not only is it high in potassium, but it's full of really great healthy oils that will help to look after your skin and help to look after your hair as well.

Then of course there's bananas, which are high in potassium, and they make an excellent base for a high potassium smoothie, which can be a great thing to drink in the morning to help protect your heart. I've got a video which shows you my electrolyte replenishing smoothie, which you might want to watch, the smoothie includes bananas, dates, and a few other things, so check it out...

Other high potassium foods are honeydew, kiwi, oranges, and prunes. A lot of fruits are high in potassium, but at the same time there are some that are really low in potassium... Do a search on the internet and find some high potassium fruits that you enjoy that will help to protect you from bulimia heart attacks resulting from electrolyte imbalances.

Then there's spinach as well, which is really high in potassium... Also dates, nuts, and seeds. So there's a whole lot of foods that are high in potassium. Try to add those foods into your structured meal plans, and that will just help to make sure that you're doing your best to protect your body.

As I said, I don't want any of my video/articles to scare you, because I think that change comes best from a place of hope and a place of happiness, rather than from a place of fear...

So rather than focusing on the negative side effects of bulimia like heart attacks - focus on making your body healthy and bulimia-free. Work on keeping your body healthy and eating as many of these high potassium foods each day as you can. That would be a sure step in the right direction and you'll be doing great things for your body and great things to protect your health.
