Hovering over the sink
The nausea kicks in
From one too many cookies
That will melt like fat
Onto my thighs

I look into the mirror
As anxiety paints my face white
I pant and pray
And put two fingers down my throat

Pleasing for something to come up
But all that surfaces is air
The food sits rotting in my stomach
My eyes are stinging

Was the moment of bliss worth this?
Never again, I swear
I’ll pray to Calypso, to Ana
St. Catherine of Siena- teach me to starve
Lead us not into temptation
My pure soul shall be yours
