Beat Bulimia and Heal Your Metabolism!

Before I managed to beat bulimia, I was terrified that years of binging and purging had ruined my metabolism forever!

I thought that a bulimia free life meant I'd have to live on lettuce to prevent my weight from ballooning out of control...

But during my recovery and in the years since, I've learnt first hand, that you can completely restore your metabolism to what was before you were bulimic...

In fact, you can make your metabolism better than it has ever been in your life!

Here's 2 steps on how to do it...


1) Eat in a style that gets your metabolism roaring...

Winters in New Zealand get pretty cold. Sometimes we keep the fire burning all day long. To keep it burning consistently - we need to put a log on the fire every few hours...

And, it’s no different with your metabolism!

To keep your metabolic fire roaring, you need to feed it every 3 hours during your waking day...

Missing meals and snacks is like leaving the fire to burn with no fuel... It’ll weaken, flicker and eventually, it’ll go out.

When you start it again, it will take much longer to get going.

The good news is that structured eating - which is an essential tip to help you beat bulimia - is the ideal way to get your metabolic fire roaring!

Think of structured eating as putting logs into your furnace, every couple of hours, to ensure that it burns brightly.

I used to think that eating 5 or 6 times a day was a sure way of gaining weight...

Now I realize that it's a sure way of helping you beat bulimia by speeding up your slow bulimia metabolism!


2) Exercise in the BEST way for massive metabolic improvements

I’m not sure about you... but, I hate long boring runs...

Worse still, is slogging away on the treadmill for hours watching the calorie ticker flick up at snails pace. This does absolutely nothing to help you beat bulimia and it's seriously no fun at all!

Luckily, it’s also a pretty useless way of repairing your bulimia ravaged muscles and speeding up your resting metabolic rate...

The type of exercise I love, that puts a real fire on your metabolic furnace, is High Intensity Resistance Training or H.I.R.T

H.I.R.T is resistance training, normally with weights, done at a very high intensity. So high, that you can manage a maximum of 10 repetitions before you can’t do another...

Otherwise, you could talk to a personal trainer who specializes in this type of exercise.

Over Christmas I did a 3 month workout plan using H.I.R.T. It was just 2-3 workouts a week, each for 30-45 minutes. I was amazed at how quickly my metabolism sped up... I could hardly keep up with it!


Our bodies are resilient! Given the chance, they will bounce back from bulimia!

It was one year into my bulimia recovery before I considered my metabolism more or less back to normal...

But, since then it has continued to go from strength to strength!

Now, you would never guess that I once struggled with bulimia and a slow, sluggish metabolism...

If you follow the tips above and keep putting one foot in front of the other - you will heal your metabolism too!
